You can stream this content on your TV by using internet-enabled TVs, Blu-ray players, game consoles, media players, or even by hooking up your phone, tablet, or laptop to the TV. We'll go through how to stream Netflix on popular devices, including a Smart TV, internet-enabled Blu-ray player, Wii, PS3, Xbox 360, iPhone/iPad, and your computer. Although we can't go through every streaming service on every device, the same concept can be applied to other streaming services and connected devices. In all of these examples, we will assume three things: 1. That you either have wireless internet, or you have the ability to hook your TV or streaming device to the internet using an Ethernet cable. 2. You have a computer. 3. You have already signed up for a Netflix streaming account. SMART TVS If you have a Smart TV , then you're set! The Smart TV is not only the most obvious option for streaming video on your TV, but it also means that you won't have to deal with other devices and excess cables. To access Netflix on your Smart TV, here's what you do: 1. Turn your Smart TV and make sure that it's connected to the internet. If it isn't connected, you're missing out on some key features! 2. If it isn't connected, refer to your owner's manual to connect the TV to the internet using a wireless or a wired connection. 3. Using your remote, select the button to access your Smart TV menu. This may be labeled Internet TV, Smart Hub, etc.. (If there is no obvious button for this step, please refer to your owner's manual.) 4. Netflix comes standard on most Smart TVs. Select the Netflix icon and press "Enter" on your remote. 5. A window will appear asking you if you're a Netflix member. Select Yes to receive your activation code. 6. On your computer, log into Netflix, go to the activation page Figure 1 , and enter in your code. It will take a minute or two for your Smart TV to be activated.
