2 SCENE ONE ( by Theni, Nicol, Aspa, Pantelia: 6th graders, 2nd group (F2)-GREECE) Narrator: A long time ago, ancient Greeks believed that there was a semi-god called Hercules who was assigned 12 Labours. One of them was "Lernaean Hydra". Hercules (talking to his father Zeus, the leader of the 12 gods who lived up in the Mount Olympus): Father! Let me tell you something. My cousin, Iolaus, told me that I must kill Lernaean Hydra. It is one of the 12 labours I am assigned, so I have to face that awful monster. Zeus: Oh my dear son. I do know about the terrible tasks you have to perform. I am a god, you know! But are you sure you want to do it? Are you aware of Lernaean Hydra? Have you ever heard anything about it? Hercules: Of course father! It is a monster with seven snake-heads. It is fierce and violent and no one can face it. But I will! Zeus: No, no my son! Don't do it! I warn you it is really dangerous. Are you not scared at all? Hercules: Well, maybe I am a bit scared, but I feel I am ready to face that dreadful monster. I want to become a real god and I'll do my best to achieve my goal. Zeus: If this is your decision son, you may go. I trust you, you are very strong. Still you have to be very careful. Narrator: So Hercules starts for his ordeal, but he does not go alone . His cousin is with him. SCENE TWO (by Zuzia, Maja, Kuba-POLAND) Narrator: Along the way. Iolaus : Have you got the plan? Hercules : No, I'm afraid I don’t … Iolaus : So, what will you do when you face the Lernaean Hydra? Hercules : Well, I have to think about it. So, maybe let’ s have a sit, here on the sand and I will plan everything carefully. We can eat something during that time. Narrator : They sat on the sand and started to eat some sandwiches. Hercules began to draw his plan with a stick. Hercules : So, what do we know about this evil monster?
