Lizzie's mom shouted, "Lizzie, go get a treat." Lizzie ran to get a stinky Beggin' Strip that her mom had bought at the supermarket. Lizzie wrinkled her nose in disgust. She grabbed a plastic container on her way out of the kitchen. Lizzie ran outside, Spike running along with her, wanting the Beggin’ Strip. When she finally got outside, she dropped the Beggin' Strip into a plastic container and closed it. Spike started to do the poo poo dance again. When he finished Lizzie gave him the Beggin' Strip. Spike got potty trained this way. Two weeks later, Lizzie woke up to Spike thumping his tail on her bed. It sounded like a heartbeat after you go running. His tongue was hanging out or his mouth and he looked like an over exercised puppy. '' What's he so excited about,'' Lizzie wondered out loud. A few seconds later, Spike jumped on her. Lizzie gave him a big cuddle. At that moment, Lizzie realized what he was so excited about. There was a tiny bit of fuzz growing on his bald patches. '' I thought those would never grow back,'' Lizzie whispered. She was smiling as wide as a rainbow. Lizzie cuddled with Spike for a few more minutes. Then she raced down the stairs. Mrs. Bracker was waiting for her in the kitchen. Lizzie screamed,''Spike's fur has grown back!'' 3 At the same her mom said calmly,'' Spike has his first training lesson today.'' Then Lizzie's mom took a sip of coffee. Lizzie ran upstairs and brought Spike down. "Today is your first day of training Spikey,'' Lizzie said. Spike growled. 30 minutes later, the trainer arrived. Ding dong. As soon as the doorbell rang, Spike jumped up from his bed and ran upstairs. Lizzie ran upstairs. Mr. and Mrs. Bracker ran up behind her. Amazingly, nobody could find Spike, and the trainer left. It was like Spike had disappeared into thin air. Finally, Mr. Bracker found Spike. He was hiding in the dusty broom closet. Spike trotted happily out of the broom closet. Mr. Bracker groaned and held his nose. “ You need a bath,” he said. 3 < http://www.beggin.com/media/11952/strips_baconcheese.png >
