Among her recent highlights is her Carnegie Hall Debut as a Winner of the Chopin Award at the IBLA Grand Prize International World Competition and her debut performance in South Korea at the Hyoeum Art Hall. As a soloist, she performed with the Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra Olomouc, Orchestre Symphonic de L’Isle Montreal, Leeds Union Symphony Orchestra, Janacek Chamber Orchestra, Les Archents Gallant Chamber Orchestra de Montréal. For the season of 2014/15 she will make her debut with the Kielce Philharmonic Orchestra in Poland. Together with her husband, a Polish/ Canadian pianist Dr. Mikolaj Warszynski, Zuzana has performed in Piano Duo recitals across the Canada and Europe, which include concerts in Montreal for the Serie Hommage of the Societe de Musique Contemporaine du Quebec (the North American Premiere of Claude’s Vivier Desintegration for 2 pianos), for the Verdun Classical Music Society in Ottawa and a Chopin Tour around Alberta as part of the Chopin Alberta 2010 ! Mrs. Šimurdo vá was invited to perform at various summer festivals: in France – Touquet Paris Plage, Poland – The Oscar Kolberg Philharmonic Music Days; England – ACT Festival in London, Lotherton Festival in Leeds. During the summer 2013 she appeared at the “Chopin on the Motlawa River” in the Baltic Philharmonic Hall in Gdansk and at the prestigious Chopin Festival in Warsaw at the Royal Park Lazienki. In 2014 she will make her debut at the festival Janacek’s Hukvaldy in Czech. Her performance of Chopin was characterized by: “a big sense of Chopin style, technical per melodic lines. Certainly we can say that here we have a great “Chopinist” because she absorbed the idiom of Chopin’s music” Joanna Tumilowicz for Magazine Maestro, Warsaw Her repertoire embraces many different styles. Mrs. Zuzana recorded her first CD “Préludes à un pays vrai”, with works by the contemporary Québécois composer, Jean Chatillon, for which she was awarded the Orpheus Prize from the DELIAN Composers Association in USA and became a Laureate of Vivacité Montréal. Her 2nd CD called “Chopin CD” was released in March 2012, in Montreal under the Canadian label PGMaudio. For the year 2015, she is preparing to record the complete set of Piano Sonatas written by Luboš Fišer. (a world premiere record ing). It will be released for the label NAXOS GRAND PIANO. Zuzana’s artistic activities were many times generously supported by the Conseil des arts et lettres du Quebec, Canada. She was also a recipient of 3 scholarships for the International Mastercourses Prague- Wienna-Budapest and a recipient of the bursary for the mastercourse in Lake District in UK. She has been featured artist on radio broadcast in Czech and Canada and made her TV appearance on France 3, CT 2 and OMNI TV Toronto.
