Here are eight reasons why you should consider choosing interactive, digital flipbooks instead of boring and static PDFs. Check them out!
2 1. If the quotation is fewer than 40 words, incorporate it into the text of the paper and enclose the quotation with double quotation marks. Example: “ His fame rested on solid personal achievement s” (Achebe, 1959, p. 3). Example: She agreed that “ planned elevator speeches can be seen as a prearranged scenario that you are aware of ahead of tim e” (Sjodin, 2012, p. 58). 2. If the quotation is more than 40 words, display it in an indented freestanding block of text double-spaced, without quotation marks. Cite the author ’ s name, year of source, and page or paragraph number in parentheses after the punctuation mark of the cited text. Example: ----- Cited text. (Author ’ s name, year, page or para#) 3. If quoting an electronic source without pagination, use the number of the paragraph where the citation can be found. If headings are used, these can be cited in italics. If a heading is too long to cite in full, use a shorter version of the title enclosed in double quotation marks followed by the paragraph number. Example: “ However, the law recognizes and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) understands the need to take into account the unique health needs of women throughout their lif espan” ( “ Affordable Care Act Rules ” , para. 5). 4. Use an “ & ” s ymbol between author s’ na mes when there are only two authors. Example: “ Tax reform brings many other changes ” (Simon & Neilman, 2010, p. 5). 5. When there are three, four, or five authors, include all the authors ’ last names when citing the work for the first time. After that, all subsequent in-text citations of the work should have only the first author ’ s last name cited followed by “ et al. ”
