The Rapier 30IP camera is based on a standard Rapier 30. The GUI control software for the camera is the same for both models but for the Rapier 30IP the video and control ports are all accessible on a single Ethernet cable which has 3 internal IP addresses mapping to the two video channels and one serial-over-ethernet port. The GUI control software is Windows based and comes in two formats, one targeted to end users and the other only required for engineer developers/expert users to access the low level functionality. The attached link contains the engineer control software and user manual. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/23379746/Rapier Camera Set Up% 20V5.4.zip Physically, the a Rapier 30IP camera has 3 connectors on the rear of the camera 1 x 3-pin connector is for power only. 2 x 6-pin connectors for Ethernet. Both connectors are attached to an internal switch so it does not matter which you use. The second port is only required if you wish to daisy-chain cameras or provide access to ancillary Ethernet devices (e.g. access control). The 30IP camera has 3 IP addresses. There will normally be a label attached to the camera with the default IP addresses but, if not present, they are normally: 192.168.1.101 ANPR Video Encoder 192.168.1.102 Overview Video Encoder 192.168.1.150 Serial port You must perform set-up of the camera for both aspects of the IP devices within the camera and on your PC split into two parts: Part 1 Video encoders Part 2 Virtual serial port
