Prez Sez I’m so excited about the orthcoming year or the KSLOA. I want to write about so much. I could steal all the newspaper space, so put the kettle on and put your eet up and read...... Firstly, I would like to thank the committee or an enthusiastic committee meeting and going the extra steps to get all our tasks and more done. We are taking a good look at the club this year, rom tightening up agendas to reviewing our library needs. Looking into new opportunities like the acebook, and fnding a variety o speakers, feld trips, workshops & social occasions. Hopeully somewhere in the year there will be something there or all our members. I would value all your thoughts and eedback regarding the clubs activities - so do email me or catch me at a meeting or a chat over a good ol yorkshire tea and chocolate biscuit, ( i Eric hasn’t eaten all the chocolate biscuits beore tea break). alking o monthly meetings, thankyou all who came to listen to Margaret’s talk on Equine Dentistry. I hope like me you learnt a bit and more importantly had a laugh rom her stories. I must admit I wasn’t too keen on the night, as talk about teeth has me hiding under the pillow and one o my little secrets is I’m a little earul o horses - something to do with a distant memory where my Dad tried to place my tiny 5 year old body on this giant o a shire horse. Tankyou to Margaret and all o you or making the evening very warm and entertaining and helping ease my tooth and horse ears. On the topic o meetings, we are getting the whip out this year. It’s strict time rames or meeting discussions and speakers, so that we have some opportunity to mingle, check out the trading table and library. We are looking at our meetings running something like this; 7.30 pm - Club meeting including reasurers report, Farmer Brown, rading able, and look back and orward at club events. A quick break ollowed by a speaker at around 8.15 pm to 9.00 pm. Ten a chance to network, catch up with old riends, make new ones and have a cuppa. Our aim is to have some structure to the club night so that members can call in at a point that suits all our busy agendas. Lesley is on the door rom 7.15 pm this coming meeting, so do ensure you give her a big helloooo.... PS - Bring your gold coins - I’ve emptied my garage and have a ew pieces or the trading table - Or bring your items or the rading able and get some gold coins.... Jane Galea-Singer=
