Aled off the Singapore to Represent Australia By the time you read this Aled Siever will most likely already be in Singapore representing Australia in U13s Futsal. Aled is a highly talented young footballer who also plays striker for the U13 Maitland Magpies. Aled has also been selected to play in the NPL. We wish Aled all the best in the Futsal World Championships. Swim School Makes a Splash Once again the Year 9 and 10 MHS PASS (Physical Activities and Sport Studies) group have done a terrific job of helping youngsters from our lovely partner primary schools to gain confidence in the water. The way our students work with the primary students is superb – gentle, kind and encouraging. The Old Dart Careful … I’m referring to England not myself. I have taken leave for the last three weeks of the year to visit Great Britain. While I’m on leave Ms Paula Graham will be relieving principal. I wish the whole school community a happy and safe Christmas. The new school plan (still under development) contains some exciting ideas and innovations for the next three years and I am really looking forward to the challenges and opportunities that will inevitably arise. Bronwyn Middleton School Admin Manager (Rel) P&C Report Our President, Liane Murray, spoke at the Year 7 Information Night in October about the role of the P&C at Maitland High School. She spoke of all the wonderful things the P&C contribute to which is only possible through the magnificent work of our canteen volunteers. It is at this time, we once again ask for our school community, parents, grandparents and carers to volunteer in our canteen – whether it be one day a week/month/term/year – you will be actively contributing to the funds we hand over to the school every year.
