Founded in 2005, the USC Marshall Sports Business Institute (SBI) continues to focus on wide-ranging thought leadership within the sports business industry by conducting research, providing student-led consulting services to industry stakeholders, and by hosting signature special events.

Throughout its existence, the SBI has developed programs and initiatives aimed at solidifying the university’s unparalleled standing as an industry leader in sports business education. Consequently, the SBI has recently further refined its focus to assess how innovation and disruption are affecting and influencing the business of sports. The SBI’s goal in this regard is to clearly demonstrate how these developments measurably impact the sports business industry’s near and long-term flow of funds.

Overall, the SBI’s aim is to provide in-depth global analysis of the industry to its constituents along with developing future industry leaders through its research and strategic partnerships.
