BY: ANNA SNEED, HEATHER YANCEY, & HABIB CONTEH THE INTRODUCTION • Amylase is an enzyme found in saliva and pancreatic fluid, that converts starch and glycogen into simple sugars. • Most packing peanuts are made of starches. A starch is a carbohydrate consisting of glucose units. • Research Question: How will the amount of saliva affect the rate of the water change? • Our prediction is that the more saliva we add in the starch water with iodine, the faster it will become more clear.
