Day two started the same as day one with running, but today for some reason the coaches felt like we needed more running. Then we did dribbling drills, first dribbling through cones with crossovers at every cone. Then dribbling up and down the court. We then transferred to shooting, starting with layups. Then they split us up into two groups and have competitions against each other. We then started playing 5 v. 5 games so the coaches could see how we do in game situations. The teams were Noah, Will, Marshall, Nick N., and Aric. The other team was Elliot, Shivam, Nick H., Jose, and Drew. Noah and Will's team started off with a layup from Marshall, then a steal in defense. The other team started off a little shaky, but they went on a hot streak and scored 4 buckets in a row (8 points). At the end of practice coach got us in a group and told us, “This decision is one of the hardest I’ve ever had to make, the talent is so good this year. Grades won’t come down to who’s getting cut this year because grades are very good. Now, everyone will get a note at the end of tryouts this note will say whether you made a team or it will say thank you for your effort and better luck next year.” When the end of tryouts came they lined us up in alphabetical order and started handing out notes. The tension made the wait more and morelonger by the second. Each kid waiting with great anticipation, when it came time for all of us to have our we found out in the locker room who had made the teams and who had been cut. The kids who had been cut had already left the locker
