Making History in Wolverhamp ton Wolves Pride will again, or the third year, be ocially opened my the Mayor o Wolverhampton Support or Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans people. Message from the Event Organiser A huge welcome to our third Wolves Pride 2014, which continues to go rom strength to strength, year on year. Beginning with the parade, which saw numbers double last year, Peter Tatchell, our patron and Someone at the Door Samba band, lead the way through the City Centre. Ocially opened by The Mayor at 2pm, the main stage goes through to 9pm, packed ull o great entertainers and we are delighted Lucy Spraggan is headlining this year. With the vibrant market place, community stalls, airground rides, young people’s area, catering and more, there really is something or everyone! Our Pride remains a community event, run by the community, or the community. It is only possible thanks to the support o partners, sponsors, supporters and volunteers – thank you or making it possible. Wishing you a happy and sae Pride. Martha Bishop - LGBT Network We are delighted to welcome our patron, Peter Tachell, Human Rights Campaigner, leading our parade through the city centre and would like to thank him or his continued support. Pride Support Team As a community Pride, no-one is paid to plan, organise, arrange or manage Wolves Pride. The event organiser and pride support team put hours o work into bringing you this celebration o all things LGBT. Helping to achieve equality and end to discrimination based on gender and sexual diversity. It wouldn’t be possible without their commitment, dedication and long hours o sweat and toil. A huge thank you to Adam, Liam, Ricki and Sally or making this years Pride the best yet, their enthusiams, ‘can do’ attitude and abundance o energy and passion is inectious and really made a massive difernce.
