Helen Raw

I am a versatile and experienced actress and singer who has been involved in the entertainment world in some form or another since records began. I performed in my first show at primary school aged 8 playing a washer woman and a tube of Smarties and haven't looked back since.

I run The Raw Talent Company and am the lead vocalist and co-producer for the Twinkletrax record label creating nursery rhyme CDs and MP3s for children. I am also co-Director and Producer for Shoogly Peg Productions, a new film production company I run with my BAFTA winning partner in crime.

I am a trained Equity Ambassador and founder of the East of Scotland General Branch of Equity. I created the branch in 2008 and was elected Secretary until I resigned my post in 2015. The branch is still going strong.

I already have a BSc in Forensic Psychobiology and am continuing my studies to gain an Honours Degree in the subject in 2016 - a very cool talking point in auditions (hint, hint).

My voluntary work includes fostering cats and dogs whose owners find themselves in emergency homeless, hospitalisation or domestic abuse situations; mentoring young people away from the criminal justice system, and counselling survivors of rape.
