"Woods of Norway (project number NO-11-1-2013-R1), was an intercultural meeting of youngsters aged 18-30, that took place in Stryn, Norway, between 14th and 21th of May 2013. Our main aim was to raise the awareness of youngsters about the importance of nature in human's life and world's economy. Youngsters from countries with rich nature and unstable economies (Greece, Portugal and Spain, 6 of each country) came together with Norwegian youngsters to explore their diversities and similarities, through a hands-on experience, based on outdoors activities as well as interactive discussions and events. Having nature and ways of living as the main topic, we built debate about the impact and potential of the right to free movement, especially on strengthening cohesion and youngsters' mutual understanding of one another. Furthermore, we managed to engage the community, introducing locals to youth in action and also contributed to the reinforcement of local awareness over nature, by implementing voluntary activities."
