A survey of almost 300 operators in the UK hospitality sector, conducted by Winnow, the technology company behind the Winnow smart meter, which helps chefs cut food waste in half, has found that nearly half (47%) of respondents are not measuring food waste at all. A mix of caterers, hotels, pubs and restaurants took part in the survey, launched by Winnow to stimulate discussion across the sector on the issue of food waste.
