Kean Soo Kean Soo is a Canadian cartoonist and author of several books.   His Jellaby series was nominated for the Eisner Award for Best Digital Comic in 2006 and won the Shuster Award for Best Comic for Kids in 2009. He leads workshops on comic illustration for all ages, with a focus on storytelling technique. For more information, visit . Cary Fagan Cary Fagan has won many awards for writing,   including the Best Book of the Year award and the IODE Jean Throop award. He is the author of many short stories for children and adults alike including the Kaspar Snit books and My Life Among the Apes (long-listed for the 2012 Scotiabank Giller Prize). For more information, visit . Marina Nemat Marina Nemat grew up in Tehran during the Islamic Revolution. At 16 she was imprisoned and tortured for speaking out against the government. Escaping to to Canada in 1991, her memoirs ( Prisoner of Tehran and After Tehran: A Life Reclaimed) have won multiple awards including the Human Dignity Award 2007 and the Morris Abram Human Rights Award. Richard Scrimger Richard Scrimger, author of 19 novels, writes for both children and adults.   His own family life has served as inspiration for much of his writing.   His recent novel Zomboy, centred on a “truly creepy truly funny love triangle.”   His steam punk comic, Viminy Crowe’s Comic Book was named an Indigo Kids Best Book of 2014.   Richard lives in Toronto and teaches at the Humber College School for Writers.   For more information visit .
