I am sure, as you read this introduction that you will expect to see amiliar words that Cultural and Educational establishments always include in such copy; – best programme yet, wide variety o topics, riendly staf, rst rate speakers etc. Well, I say unashamedly that all those things are true, and more besides. I you browse through this new-look programme, I hope that those o you who come here regularly will nd we have created many new ways or you to engage with subjects that interest you and those o you who think you know about us and that we have nothing or you will be surprised by how much you would like to do. Te programme is designed to allow you to dip into art, music, history, cookery and current afairs, develop new skills or study many aspects o a particular subject in depth. One o the themes this Autumn, Te Great Dictators, will be explored through our history, lm and cultural strands, using eature lm and archive material rom our own archive, the most comprehensive Jewish documentary lm archive in Europe. In contrast, Sephardi Celebration, will eature an exhibition o Bettina Caro’s Sephardic Jewish art alongside special events ocusing on North Arican Sephardi cookery, history, ritual and culture.
