Flipsnack for Accessibility

At Flipsnack, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to access and engage with digital content seamlessly, ensuring a positive experience for every reader. In our commitment to accessibility, we consistently strive to meet the highest standards, currently aligning our platform with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 Level AA for both our website and flipbook player.

Flipsnack's mission is to empower individuals and organizations to share their stories and ideas globally in a digital form. We recognize the importance of accessibility in achieving this mission and are committed to providing a platform that is usable, intuitive, and welcoming to users of all abilities.

Building an accessible flipbook player

Flipsnack's flipbook player is central to the platform, defining the screen area and buttons for publication display. It's a crucial element for all readers navigating flipbooks, and we're proud to ensure ADA, WCAG, and Section 508 compliance for all our flipbooks, making it one of the few truly accessible flipbook players on the market.

Here’s what an accessible flipbook player looks like:

Keyboard and screen reader navigation

Flipsnack's flipbook player is easy to navigate using only the keyboard. Users can move through pages and interactive elements similar to how mouse users navigate. All interactive elements have clear labels that are read by the screen reader, providing context and an effortless exploration of the entire publication.

Accessibility for flipbook content

Ensure accessible publications for all your readers. After completing your flipbook design, activate the accessibility feature. Set custom titles and descriptions for each page. This alt text will enable screen readers to articulate the content of your publication, making it available to everyone who accesses your flipbooks.

Flipsnack’s Website Accessibility Statement

With the implementation of AccessiBe's accessibility widget, our website becomes instantly accessible with a simple click.
